Though not all will qualify for a Tier 1 exceptional talent visa here in the United Kingdom, if you do meet a set of very specific criteria that are outlined on the UK Home Office website at this is the kind of visa application that would allow you to reside in the United Kingdom indefinitely as a permanent resident.
As part of the Tier 1 points-based program, there are a handful of more stringent criteria that you’ll need to meet and then the more “generalized” UK visas available out there. Not only will you be required to be an internationally recognized person, world leader, or a “up and coming” leader in the fields of science, art, or industry, but you’ll also need to meet the points-based criteria for this visa as well.
There are a limited number of Tier 1 exceptional talent visas available at any given time, so speak directly with a representative from the UK Home Office (you can contact them on their website) to see if they you would be able to receive this kind of visa designation.
Applying for and receiving the Exceptional Talent Visa
Those that are looking to take advantage of the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa program outlined above are going to need to proceed through the standardized application process set forth by the United Kingdom government.
This process is exactly the same for each and every applicant, and will require that you provide proof of identification, proof of citizenship from the nation that you are a citizen of, as well as for the proof that you are in fact an exceptional talent and recognized as such globally.
This can all be done through the United Kingdom Home Office website, or you can download the Exceptional Talent Visa application forms to your own computer, print them out, and submit them for the traditional post service.
Applications take anywhere between three and 12 weeks to process, though they may take a bit longer in specific circumstances. If you are denied for at this particular visa program, you will have the opportunity to appeal the decision – but again you’ll need to contact the UK Home Office.
