If you would like to emigrate to the United Kingdom and live, work, or attend an educational opportunity here in the UK at the dependent of someone that is a permanent resident or citizen of the United Kingdom, you’ll need to apply for and receive the UK dependency visa.
A specific program established for those that are 18 years of age or older (and have a parent, grandparent, sibling, son or daughter of a UK citizen) to come to the UK to live, work, and attend educational opportunities here, this is a relatively simple and straightforward visa program.
Not only will you need to provide proof of the connection to a settled person in the United Kingdom, but you’ll also need to prove that you are in fact an adult dependent of that same person. You’ll need to show that you require:
-Long-term personal care
-That said care is not available in the country or nation that you are currently residing in
-And that your sponsor can not only provide that level of care, but also agrees to provide that level of care without taking advantage of or relying on any public funding for at least five years
If all criteria are met, you should have no trouble applying for and receiving this visa.
How to apply for this UK visa
If you’re interested in visiting (or permanently relocating) to the UK with this specific visa program, you’re going to need to go through the standardized application process. Contact the UK Home Office for the specific forms you’ll be required to fill out (or go you can go to the UK Home Office website and take care of it in one shot). The application process can take anywhere between 3-12 weeks.
